Energy Balls

Ingredients for 16 balls, 68 kcal per ball

  • 12 Dates (pitted)
  • 2 tsp almond extract (pure)
  • 50 grams of raw cocoa powder, plus extra for garnish
  • 40 grams of oats
  • 70 grams nuts (e.g. peanut, almonds, pistachio, cashew), plus extra for garnish
  • 70 grams sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 Apple (peeled)
  • 1 tbsp flax seed/linseed


Put all the ingredients in a food processor/blender and mix into a sticky ball of ‘dough’. Using a tablespoon, form balls of the ‘dough’, a tablespoon per ball, until you have made about 16. Roll the balls in cocoa powder or chopped nuts. They can be stored in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 5 days.
